Job Introduction

As a Team Leader within Gray Healthcare you will be a front-line leader working alongside a specialist team to support an individual within their own home.  We support people with complex needs, who may have a Learning Disability, Autism, Personality Disorder, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Substance Misuse issues, and people whom require support with their Mental Health. 

You will lead your team to deliver outstanding care, assuring quality and safety.  You will develop and review support plans playing an integral role in the evaluation of these with the MDT. You will be competent in IT systems; including electronic rostering and digital records. You will also spend time working on shift to develop trust and rapport with the person you support whilst leading by example.

 

We are looking to recruit an experienced Team Leader to lead a new staff team to support a young man to move into their new home and to work towards the next chapter in their life.

The individual has Autism, ADHD & Schizophrenia and requires a knowledgeable staff team with previous experience supporting individuals with this diagnosis.

The individual enjoys music and films and particularly walking outdoors and nature. He also enjoys musical theatre especially ‘Les Mis’ and playing his guitar.

The individual has expressed an interest in when moving into his new home that he would like to attend the gym and swimming with his support team.

The individual’s aim is to spend time in the community with the support of a staff team to enable his confidence with this.

The Ideal Candidate

About you

We are looking for candidates who share our values, understand the importance of a consistent and empathetic approach, whilst staying calm and professional when presented with a challenging situation.  You need to be confident in your leadership style, be a team player and possess excellent communication skills. 

You will need to possess as a minimum an NVQ/QCF Level 3 or equivalent.  You will be motivated and have a can-do attitude, and work within a Positive Behaviour Support Framework.
