Main Responsibility

As a Support Worker within Gray Healthcare you will join a specialist team supporting an individual within their own home. We support people with complex needs, who may have a Learning Disability, Autism, Personality Disorder, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Substance Misuse issues, and people whom require support with their Mental Health.

You will be an instrumental part of the team and will receive outstanding clinical support, leadership and person-centred training. In this role you will support an individual to develop or regain life skills, assisting participation in community life by building strong and trusting working relationships.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who share our values, understand the importance of a consistent and empathetic approach, whilst staying calm and professional when presented with a pressurised situation.

You will have an interest, motivation, and enthusiasm to develop experience and skills to work with people with complex needs. Ideally you will have at least Level 3 in Health and Social Care or a willingness to work towards the qualification within Gray Healthcare.

Must be willing to be part of a back up rota.

Package Description

Gray Healthcare are looking for Support Workers to support a gent who has diagnosis of Treatment Resistant Schizophrenia and COPD. He lives alone in his own property in Witham St Hughs, Lincoln.

The person we support is a 42 year old male who is supported on a 1:1 basis. He enjoys chatting with his Support Team, watching films, loves listening to music and DJ'ing on his own decks!. He enjoys going out into the community do his weekly food shopping and visit local pubs for a coffee. As he is gaining more confidence with accessing the community we are looking someone who is encouraging that can support the gent to attend more activities that are community based.

The vacancy is 24 hours per week - 2 x 12 hour shift, 8am-8pm plus 1 sleep-in.

Drivers are preferred for this role, due to the gent having a mobility vehicle.
