Main Responsibility

As a Team Leader within Gray Healthcare, you will lead your team to deliver outstanding care, assuring quality and safety. You will develop and review support plans playing an integral role in the evaluation of these with the MDT. You will be competent in IT systems; including electronic rostering and digital records. You will also spend time working on shift to develop trust and rapport with the person you support whilst leading by example.

The successful candidate will be providing direct management flexibly over a 24-hour period and providing quality assurance and full rota management ensuring safe, responsive and effective working practice. There is a requirement to work as part of his team and you may need to cover shifts at times to ensure that the lady receives the prescribed levels of support.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who share our values, understand the importance of a consistent and empathetic approach, whilst staying calm and professional when presented with a pressurised situation.  

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience as a Team Leader within Learning Disabilities, Autism and ADHD.

You will have an interest, motivation, and enthusiasm to develop experience and skills to work with people with complex needs. Ideally you will have at least Level 3 in Health and Social Care or a willingness to work towards the qualification within Gray Healthcare. 

Package Description

Gray Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join their team in Whitchurch, Shropshire supporting an individual who identifies as a female, with a mild learning disability and autism who lives in their own home.

The person we support is supported 2:1 during the week to support them to learn new skills and living a meaningful and happy life.  They can find it difficult to cope with stressful situations and manage their emotions, and need's time and space to process their thoughts.

 They are very chatty and independent and do like to be part of their PBS plan so that their needs are met in the best possible way for them!

The hours are split - 5 hours Team Leader and 24 hours on support - 3 shifts/week  8 hours 9am - 5pm. This is 2:1 support and you will be working alongside another Support Worker when on shift. There is also a need to make 2 x 1 hour welfare calls on the other days which will be discussed at interview.
