Gray Healthcare has an rare opportunity for a PROACT SKIPr trainer to join the Learning & Development team and contribute to the reduction of restrictive practices for the people that we support. In order to do this, we need to continue with our high level of training and development of skills across all aspects of our organisation. PROACT-SCIPr-UK has been our model for many years and we are now looking for an experienced instructor to join the team.
Gray Healthcare are different to most care providers in that that we are clinically informed. That means that there is a team of clinicians including nurses, occupational therapists and Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) specialists involved in developing the care and approach for each person that we support. This provides more direction to the Support teams; it is an inclusive approach that is proven to work to improve the lives and outcomes of the people that we support.
What will do you?
Based from home, you will travel to the Head Office in Liverpool on a bi monthly basis to deliver training both to new staff members and refreshers to existing. Opportunities for regional, field-based delivery should be explored alongside business need on an ongoing basis.
You will maintain the highest standards in record keeping using the Gray Healthcare LMS and Care Management systems.
You will ensure that training is always delivered in a person-centred way, working with team managers and specialists in the business to inform the changes to the standard delivery resources.
Annual in-person review of restrictive practices for all people supported.
