Job Introduction
A qualified PROACT-SCIPr-UK Instructor who has experience developing and delivering bespoke training to staff teams who support Individuals with complex needs. You will need to be able to work collaboratively with our training team to organise and monitor training delivery across the organisation to ensure that there are robust processes in place.
This is a National role and will require travel.
Main Responsibility
You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and team-working skills in order to work with Team Leaders and Team Managers to provide effective support for the purposes of restraint reduction and open and transparent use of audit-based interventions.
You will need to be a creative thinker with the ability to problem solve and contribute to safe and effective care planning. There is an expectation to be responsive to the needs of the complex individuals that we support and as such, you will be an integral part of promoting the development of our workforce.
You will need to be self-motivated and enthusiastic with a passion to support the Clinical Team in embedding the PBS Model of Support throughout the company.
The Ideal Candidate
- A minimum of 2 years working in a role that provides training to support teams and managers or evidence of transferable skills
- A working knowledge of the Positive Behaviour Support Model and how this enhances quality of life
- The ability to communicate with others at various levels and demonstrate good listening skills
- The ability to work collaboratively with others, this will include the Training Coordinator, Clinical Team, Operations team and Quality team
- An understanding of behaviours perceived as challenging and the ability to use this in supporting staff to be solution focussed.
- Good IT skills, use of spreadsheets and database, to include the ability to develop creative Power Point presentations
- Good administration, time management and organisational skills
- The ability to hold the attention and interaction of staff teams during training through a responsive approach.
- Be responsive to learning ability and be able to adapt to this to meet need.
Creative face to face training skills and the ability to engage a team through groupwork and feedback

As a PROACT SCIPr-UK instructor working within Gray Health Care, you will be joining our skilled team. This role will provide you with the opportunity to put into practice your current skills in addition to enhancing training skills in other associated areas of need. You will be part of a growing team providing training to support staff and managers who support people in their own homes, using a respectful and person-centred approach.
