Job Introduction
As a Support Worker within Gray Healthcare you will join a specialist team supporting an individual within their own home. We support people with complex needs, who may have a Learning Disability, Autism, Personality Disorder, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Substance Misuse issues, and people whom require support with their Mental Health.
You will be an instrumental part of the team and will receive outstanding clinical support, leadership and person-centred training. In this role you will support an individual to develop or regain life skills, assisting participation in community life by building strong and trusting working relationships.
Main Responsibility
As a Support Worker, you will be key in supporting adults with complex needs within their own home and within the community. We are looking for positive, compassionate, and caring support workers who have the right values and attitude to grow and develop with Gray Healthcare.
Package Description
Gray Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Support Worker to join their team in Shrewsbury, supporting a young gentleman in his 20's with a mild learning disability and Autism.
The person supported is non-verbal and responds well to softly spoken calm individuals. The person we support enjoys going out in the car, being outdoors in a safe environment and participating in activities such as swimming and using my trampoline.
The person supported has particular routines they like to follow so adaptable and patient individuals would be ideal for this position.
The support is provided in a house in Shrewsbury, Shropshire and the team is 2-to-1 support by a mixed team of both male and female Support Workers.
The vacancy is for 24 hours/week. The shifts will be 12 hours for days or nights.
