Job Introduction

Training

We don’t expect you to know everything when you join Gray Healthcare! We provide an initial week of training which is a combination of online training (company induction, systems, meds etc.) followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK which is a PBS approac to least restrictive practice, a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint-dominant approaches. You will then complete the person-centred training, specific to the person that you are supporting. This could be PBS, epilepsy, ligature etc. and finally, you’ll complete shadow shifts.

Training continues throughout your time with Gray Healthcare and we encourage you to develop and grow your career with us.

Recruitment Process

  1. Telephone interview with specialist recruiter to go through the role in more detail and find out more about you and why you have applied.
  2. TEAMS interview with Community Support Manager
  3. Compliance & Background checks including employment references, Right To Work checks and Enhanced DBS.

Main Responsibility

As a Bank Support Worker, you will be key in supporting adult’s with complex needs within their own home and within the community. We are looking for positive, compassionate, and caring support workers who have the right values and attitude to grow and develop with Gray healthcare.

 

The Ideal Candidate

About you

  • We are looking for people who have worked in social care previously, ideally with Mental Health Experience.
  • You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have 6 month's Healthcare Experience within in the United Kingdom.

We are looking for candidates who share our values, understand the importance of a consistent and empathetic approach, whilst staying calm and professional when presented with a pressurised situation. You need to be a team player with effective communication skills, We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience as a Support Worker within a Mental Health setting.

Package Description

Gray Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bank Support Worker's to join their specialist Busy Bee Bank Team across the Lincoln area covering shifts at any of the 5 packages we support.

We support 5 individuals in the Lincoln area within their own home who may have EUPD, Personality Disorder, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Bipolar, Epilepsy and people whom require support with their Mental Health conditions.

You will be an instrumental part of the bank support team and will receive outstanding clinical support, leadership and person-centred training.

As a bank worker, you would be offered shifts when they were available which are flexible to fit around your other work or responsibilities. We can also be flexible around hours/shift times.
