Role Description – Male Support Worker:

Gray Healthcare are recruiting a Male Support Worker within the Netherley area of Liverpool, to support a male in his 50's who has a diagnosis of Frontal Lobe Damage, Learning Disabilities & Epilepsy.

The male we support lives independently in his own bungalow receiving 1-1 support 24 hours a day.

He is supported by a male team on mixed shifts of days, 8am to 8pm and sleeps, 8pm to 8am paid @ £100 per sleep.

His interests are going to watch his favourite football, team which he has a season ticket for, watching cricket, golf, tv and being creative. 

He also likes going out into the community, eating out and going to the cinema. 

We are recruiting UK Manual Licence drivers only for this role as the individual we support has a mobility vehicle to access the community.

 

Male Support Worker Required Skills and Experience:

  • Full UK Manual Driving License – Essential.
  • Social care experience supporting individuals with a Mental Health diagnosis, Acquired Brain Injuries, Epilepsy and Learning Disabilities 
  • Experience providing encouragement to a person with behaviours perceived as challenging.
  • Emotional resilience, good listeneer and clear communication 
  • Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
  • You must have a current Right to Work in the UK
  • You must have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months. 
  • We no longer have any certificates of sponsorship available and are unable to consider sponsorship.
  • This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references

 

 

Male Support Worker Working Hours:

36  hour contract 

3 x 12 hour day shifts, from 8am to 8pm per week 

1 x 12 hour sleep, from 8pm to 8am paid @ £100 per sleep (Alternative weekends)

Induction and Training

We provide an initial week of training which is a combination of online training. (Company induction, systems, and Medication.) Followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK which is a PBS approach to least restrictive practice, this is a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint dominate approaches. You will then complete the person-centred training, specific to the person that you are supporting. Training continues throughout your time with Gray Healthcare, and we encourage you to develop and grow your career with us.
