The Ideal Candidate

About you

As a Locality Manager you will lead Team Leaders who manage our specialist Support Workers ensuring that your people deliver outstanding person-centred and individualised support that is constantly reviewed and adapted to suit the needs of specific individuals who, with our help, can reach their potential

Effective and open people leadership is key to the Locality Manager role as you will be an approachable and hands-on inspirational leader who:

  • Acts as main point of escalation for team leaders, managing all elements of service user transition into the community
  • Oversees inductions, appraisals, rotas, performance and behaviours
  • Attends MDT and review meetings for service users liaising with care coordinators, social workers and other external stakeholders
  • Ensures quality support is in line with CQC and company standards, policies and procedures
  • Reviews operational expenditure against care packages and agreeing any remedial action with Head of Operations
  • Takes responsibility for effective management of each contract, bringing in on budget
  • Ensures Inspection Ready packages, escalating to Registered Manager and devising and supporting solutions where required
  • Participates in the on-call rota

This is a critical role supporting the organisation’s expansion and as we grow so will the role, it’s remit and the chance for you to develop and influence.  As a natural and established leader within healthcare you will know what it takes to succeed in this type of role and environment, key essential elements include:

  • Possessing strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport quickly
  • Ability to flex and be agile in fast paced environment and to problem solve along the way
  • Significant experience of working with adults with a mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism or ABI
  • Experience in using data applications and software for time attendance & rostering and patient notes
  • Understanding of safeguarding, mental capacity and deprivation of liberty
  • Understanding of the impact of stigma, exclusion and discrimination on well being
  • Ability to understand and follow care plans, recovery plans, positive behaviour plans

There is extensive travel required as part of the role and along with being a car driver, an organised and flexible approach with ability to stay overnight as required will be critical.
