Hours
We typically have 10-hour shifts but there is some flexibility around this. We have the following contracts available:
20 Hours - x2 10 Hour Shifts (10am- 8pm) this would include working either a Saturday or Sunday each weekend.
Main Responsibility
Training
We do not expect you to know everything when you join Gray Healthcare! We provide an initial week of training which is a combination of online training (company induction, systems, meds etc.) followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK which is a PBS approach to least restrictive practice, a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint-dominant approaches. You will then complete the person-centred training, specific to the person that you are supporting. This could be PBS, epilepsy, ligature etc. and finally, you will complete shadow shifts.
Training continues throughout your time with Gray Healthcare, and we encourage you to develop and grow your career with us.
The Ideal Candidate
Ideally, we are looking for individuals living a commutable distance to the service in Redditch, it is essential that individuals have experience supporting vulnerable individuals with Mental Health needs. Therefore, being positive and having a good sense of humour would be a strong match for this lady. It would be beneficial if to have some experience supporting others who also have a diagnosis of complex emotional needs and personality difficulties.
You will be an instrumental part of the team and will receive outstanding clinical support, leadership, and person-centred training. In this role you will support an individual to develop or regain life skills, assisting participation in community life by building strong and trusting working relationships.
You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have 6 month's healthcare experience within in the United Kingdom.

Recruitment Process
The interviewing process will be:
- Pre-Screen
- Teams interview with Chris Welsby
- Facetime chat with the PWS and Chris Welsby
- Face to face chat with the PWS, Chris Welsby (or other GHC person) in coffee shop or similar
- Meeting in the flat so that so the PWS can introduce Darcy (cat) – this will be a more activity focussed session rather than talking.
Package Description
We are looking for an experienced Female Support Worker within the Redditch and Bromsgrove Area who is flexible when it comes to the days you will be working. You shall be positively supporting a young lady who has various mental health diagnosis. It is important we provide support in a person-centred approach to allow them to continue their developing their independence.
The person we support is very independent, self-medicating and is improving all the time, in addition to this the individual enjoys being involved in activities like visiting places but does sometimes require encouraging.
You must have experience of providing support to a person with complex needs and behaviours that may be perceived as challenging within the UK and have experience of understanding and implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
Gray Healthcare are different to most care providers in that that we are clinically informed. That means that there is a team of clinicians including nurses, occupational therapists, and Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) specialists involved in developing the care and approach for each person that we support. This provides more direction to the Support teams; it is an inclusive approach that is proven to work to improve the lives and outcomes of the people that we support.
