Main Responsibility
Hours:
We are looking for people to work the following shift patterns:-
- 09.00am till 21.00pm 3 x 12 hour shifts = 36 hours per week
We don’t expect you to know everything when you join Gray Healthcare! We provide an initial week of training which is a combination of online training (company induction, systems, meds etc.) followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK which is a PBS approach to least restrictive practice, a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint-dominant approaches. You will then complete the person-centred training, specific to the person that you are supporting. This could be PBS, epilepsy, ligature etc. and finally, you’ll complete shadow shifts.

The Ideal Candidate
Ideally, we are looking for individuals who have empathetic approach, whilst staying calm and professional when presented with a pressurised situation. It is essential that individuals have experience supporting vulnerable individuals with Mental Health needs. Therefore, being a positive individual, who are outgoing and enjoys going out instead of being sitting indoors would be a strong match for this lady, it would be beneficial if to have some experience supporting others who also have a diagnosis of Emotional Unstable Personality Disorder.
You will need to possess an NVQ/QCF Level 3 or equivalent or be willing to work towards. You will be motivated and have a can-do attitude and have worked within a Positive Behaviour Support Framework.
•You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have 6 Months Experience working in the Health Sector in the UK.

Package Description
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated female support worker to support a young lady in the Solihull area that is a keen gym goer and very independent, of course they thrive by having the right type of individuals supporting them in a person-centred approach. They have an all-female team for 2:1 support, 24 hours a day. You will need to have specific experience of supporting someone with complex mental health needs and be understanding about behavioural responses.
It is important to provide inclusion when supporting this individual, to ensure they are included in activities and decisions. Therefore, having a Support Worker who has a focus mindset, is outgoing and is committed to making a difference.
The person supported enjoys going to the gym two to three times a weeks it would be a good connection if you enjoy going to the gym also.

That means that there is a team of clinicians including nurses, occupational therapists, and Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) specialists involved in developing the care and approach for each person that we support. This provides more direction to the Support teams; it is an inclusive approach that is proven to work to improve the lives and outcomes of the people that we support.
