Job Introduction

Brief Role Description

Gray Healthcare are taking over an existing package within the Congleton Area supporting a lady in her 40's who has mixed diagnosis including mild learning disabilities, Autism complex self -injurious behaviours and some physical health needs who will be living independently within her own property having 1:1 support 24 hours a day. This lady enjoys regular Shopping trips, Bingo and Karaoke.

Gray Healthcare are an award-winning provider of complex care, providing a clinically informed approach and extensive, tailored training. As a new provider to this lady, we are taking a collaborative approach to her support to ensure the best outcome

The training will include:

-        Company Induction – Live online session

-        Trauma Informed Care – Live online session

-        Medication Compliance – Live online session

-        Autism Awareness – Live online session

-        Epilepsy Awareness – Live online session

-        PROACT-SCIPr-UK™ -  a PBS approach to least restrictive practice, a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint-dominant approaches.  2-day in-person course

-        First Aid at Work – 1-day in-person course

-        Person Centred training – in-person course specific to the person you will be supporting.

Our Psychologically Informed Therapist, alongside our specialist Occupational Therapists and Clinical Lead will also be working closely with the individual and her team to provide guidance, informing care plans and additional support.

You must have experience of providing support to a person with complex needs and behaviours that may be perceived as challenging within the UK and have experience of understanding and implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.


We typically have 12-hour shifts but there can be flexibility around this dependant on needs and requests. We have the following contracts available:

  • 09.00am-21.00pm Day Shifts
  • Plus sleep ins which are non contractual and paid at a set rate of around £100.


About you

  • We are looking for people who have worked in social care previously, ideally with autism experience.
  • You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months. We no longer have any certificates of sponsorship available.

Recruitment Process
