Job Introduction

Reporting to: Clinical Lead / Registered Manager

Working hours:  Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm (on call by phone every 6 weeks).

Location: Home-based

We are looking for a creative and innovative Occupational Therapist, with proven experience within a community setting, to join our team of experienced and dedicated professionals who are passionate about the service we deliver.

As the role is home based, you need to be a resilient and autonomous practitioner, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and the people that we support.  You will be fully supported via TEAMS / phone calls or, if you live locally, you can attend the Liverpool office.

Brief Role Description

As an Occupational Therapist working within Gray Healthcare, you will be joining our friendly and experienced Clinical Team. 

This role will provide you with the opportunity to put into practice your current skills in addition to developing yourself as an autonomous practitioner.

 You will be part of a team providing evidence-based assessment and intervention to people with complex needs who are supported to live a meaningful life in their own homes.

The successful candidate will have excellent skills in delivering the Occupational Therapy Process of assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation both through direct Service User contact where required and by providing coaching and guidance to Support Staff.

Gray Healthcare’s model is underpinned by Positive Behaviour Support and as such, you will be expected to work collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure the provision of robust, positive and evidence-based support.

You will be qualified as an Occupational Therapist. Be HCPC registered and have at least 12 months relevant experience relating to Mental Health, Learning Disability, Complex Needs, Autism and / or Acquired Brain Injury.

You must be able to drive as it is a regional role, have access to a vehicle with business insurance. Mileage is paid on-top of the car allowance.
