Job Introduction
The person we support likes to get out as much as he can, he loves to access the community and use the local amenities such as the cinema and visiting the local pubs for some food and a nice cool J2O.
He also likes to get out on scenic drives when he can so drivers would be preferred but not essential.

We are looking for candidates who share our values, understand the importance of a consistent and empathetic approach, whilst staying calm and professional when presented with a pressurised situation.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience as a Support Worker within Epilepsy, Learning Disabilities and Mental Health. The person supported is non-verbal, so staff will need to have an understanding of using talking mats, head gestures and also behaviours that are perceived to be challenging.
You will have an interest, motivation, and enthusiasm to develop experience and skills to work with people with complex needs. Ideally you will have at least Level 3 in Health and Social Care or a willingness to work towards the qualification within Gray Healthcare.
Package Description
Gray Healthcare are looking for support workers to support a young non-verbal gentleman who is currently living in his own home in Bessacar, Doncaster.
The person we support has a diagnosis of Paranoid Schizophrenia alongside a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder - Asperger’s Syndrome. We provide 24 hour support for the young man working on a 1-1 basis.
The shifts are 12 hours- 8am to 8pm Days and 8pm to 8am waking nights.
