Main Responsibility

As a Bank Support Worker, you will be key in supporting adults with complex needs within their own home and within the community. We are looking for positive, compassionate, and caring support workers who have the right values and attitude to grow and develop with Gray healthcare. We are looking for support workers who are looking for the flexibility to choose their shifts and would like to join our skilled pool of bank workers.

 

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who share our values, understand the importance of a consistent and empathetic approach, whilst staying calm and professional when presented with a pressurised situation.  

We are looking for individuals experienced in supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries, mental health issues and lone working.

You will have an interest, motivation, and enthusiasm to develop experience and skills to work with people with complex needs. Ideally you will have at least Level 3 in Health and Social Care or a willingness to work towards the qualification within Gray Healthcare. 

Package Description

Gray Healthcare are looking for a highly motivated, self-sufficient individual to join a well-established support team based in Norwich on a bank basis. We support a 40-year-old gentleman who sustained an ABI as a result of a road traffic accident. The subsequent cognitive impairments for service user include, poor memory, difficulties processing and learning. Able to self-care but has tendencies to make bad decisions, requires support team around him to ensure right choices are met. A typical week involves supporting the individual to attend boxing sessions, playing group football, watching football on tv, visiting the cinema, snooker club or a pub.

This is a male only support package, with hours of 8am-8pm 7 days a week.

Experienced in supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries, mental health issue and lone working preferred.
