Due to our unique offering, we continue to expand the business and wish to appoint an Assessment Team Manager to manage and clinically support our team of expert assessors, alongside carrying out assessments.

A qualified mental health or learning disability nurse, occupational therapist or social worker you will have a solid background in the assessment of people with a range of complex needs as well as team management experience and good clinical supervision skills.

Our Assessment team each cover a specified geographical patch, carrying out detailed clinical assessments ensuring that we are in a position to deliver individualised support packages. The Assessment Team support the operational teams to develop the packages of care. Internally you will be a key part of the clinical team and work closely with the Clinical Director and the Commercial Director and externally with a range of commissioners, case managers and professionals.

As a passionate professional you will have in-depth experience of assessing and working with people with a variety of complex needs around their mental health, learning disability, ABI, personality disorder, autism and forensic backgrounds. You will have an understanding of continuing healthcare or transition of individuals moving from hospital/residential settings into the community and a collaborative, solutions-focussed approach to any issues associated with this. You will use your applied knowledge of the Mental Health Act, CTO’s and the Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and Best Interest Decision making to inform the direction of packages in your remit.

You will be an innovative thinker and natural communicator with strong report writing skills and computer literacy and an ability to work under pressure. Travel will be required as part of the role and along with being a car driver, an organised and flexible approach with the ability to stay overnight as required will be critical.
